There are many factors that affect the quality of lubricating oil blending, such as the blending efficiency of blending equipment and the quality of blending components, which directly affect the quality of the blended lubricating oil. This mainly analyzes the impact of lubricant process and operational factors on the quality of blended lubricant products.
1. Accurate measurement of components
Accurate measurement is crucial for both gap adjustment and continuous adjustment. Accurate measurement ensures the correct proportion of each component during feeding. Accurate measurement of component flow is crucial for continuous blending. Inaccurate flow measurement can lead to imbalanced component ratios, which in turn can affect the quality of blended products.
2. Water content in the components
The presence of water in the components can directly affect the turbidity of the blended product and the appearance of the lubricating oil. Sometimes it can also cause hydrolysis of certain additives, reducing their effectiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent the mixing of water in the components.
3. Air in the components
Mixing air into the components and system is inevitable and very harmful to blending. The presence of air not only promotes the reaction of additives and the deterioration of oil products, but also leads to inaccurate component measurement due to the presence of bubbles, affecting the correct proportion of components.
4. Temperature of blending components
To choose the appropriate blending temperature, high temperature may cause oxidation or thermal deterioration of lubricating oil and additives, while low temperature may deteriorate the flowability of components and affect the effect. Generally, 55-65 ℃ is recommended.
5. Dilution of additives
Some additives are very viscous and must be melted and diluted before use to prepare a suitable concentration of additive mother liquor. Otherwise, it may affect the uniformity of mixing and the accuracy of measurement. However, too much diluent should not be added to the additive mother liquor to avoid affecting the product quality of lubricating oil.
6. Cleanliness of the blending system
The solid impurities and non blending components such as base oil and additives present in the blending system can contaminate the system and potentially result in substandard blending product quality. Therefore, the lubricating oil blending system should be kept clean. From an economic perspective, the possibility of a system producing only one product is extremely small, so contamination of the system by non blending components is inevitable. In practical production, on the one hand, efforts should be made to clean up pollutants, and on the other hand, similar quality and variety of oils should be arranged to be blended in a system to ensure the quality of blended products.
7. Mixing time
The mixing time should be reasonably determined based on the size of the mixing kettle, the amount of mixed materials, the heating temperature, the mixing method, etc. If the mixing time is too short, the mixing will not be uniform enough; The halving time is too long and consumes a lot of energy.
